Best known as The Divine Comedy, Dante Alighieri's poem is written in chained tercets of hendecasyllabic verses, in the Florentine vernacular. The poem is divided into three canticas (Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso), each composed of 33 cantos, in which an imaginary journey through the three otherworldly realms is narrated.

Rulebook in Italian and English, 112 cards (9 Heavens, 1 Empyrean, 3 Cacciaguida, 90 Intellects, 7 Virtues, 1 Dante and 1 Beatrice/Saint Bernard), one board and 7 score counters (4 white for the Cardinal Virtues and 3 yellow for the Theological Virtues).

Everyone is called to cooperate to allow the Supreme Poet to ascend to the celestial spheres of Paradise, up to the Empyrean and the sublime divine vision. Guided by Beatrice, Dante must exercise his Intellect to gain all the Virtues, then, accompanied by Saint Bernard, accomplish the transhumanization thus reaching salvation and attaining… the love that moves the sun and the other stars.

Multi-award-winning game designer, writer, and journalist, with a passion for literature. Among his favorite writers: Borges, Eco, and Calvino.
