Thanks to the hospitality of Giochi Uniti, Top Hat Games took part in the first “real” edition of the Modena Game Festival after the pandemic. It was a very heated edition from an environmental point of view due to the different scheduling; this, in addition to the renewed large attendance, overheated the venues and both players and staff “sweated buckets” all weekend. In the future, action will need to be taken to reduce or, even better, avoid these difficulties and bring this important event back to the levels of satisfaction and appreciation it deserves. For Top Hat Games, it was a very significant weekend due to the official participation coinciding with the presentation of the first work entirely pulled from the top hat. Accompanied by the authors, Andrea Angiolino and Alessio Spalluto, the preview of Federico da Montefeltro: il Duca™ was proudly displayed, a game for 2-5 players produced with the collaboration and support of the City of Urbino and its Pro Loco as part of the Federician Celebrations 2022: Federico 600. The work will be officially presented in September in the Duke’s “court” and Top Hat Games has already opened pre-orders in the online Shop for the Special Limited Edition™, which includes 600 numbered copies to properly celebrate the 600th anniversary of the birth of “the Light of Italy,” as the Renaissance leader and patron was called.
