Deep, not difficult
On the occasion of a game session between Top Hat Games and Sir Chester Cobblepot, we had the opportunity to have an interesting chat with Giacomo Santopietro, Team Principal of Cobblepot Games.
The following paragraphs illustrate the concepts expressed by the game producer.
Arena Colossei: Ludi Gladiatorii™ cannot be considered a difficult game: many years of playtesting have clearly shown that its rules are accessible to everyone. However, just like the game of chess, defeating the opponent is not a trivial practice.
With its surprising tactical depth, Arena Colossei: Ludi Gladiatorii™ requires players to always be “present” at the table: creating your hand, choosing the playing order of your cards and tiles are things that can’t really be taught, not even through the rulebook.
Nobody likes to lose, but if you like to win easily, Arena Colossei: Ludi Gladiatorii™ is not the right game for you. Sorry, but in the arena, one must earn their victory and the winner can take all the credit. However, do not rest easy: each battle is a different chapter in the great book of Gladiators, the next is still to be written, and you will be the one to do it!
As you play, you will discover that at the conclusion of each game, you will have learned something more to use in your next challenge. Observe your opponents and discover their weaknesses.
The more you play Arena Colossei: Ludi Gladiatorii™, the better you will appreciate it, learning to enjoy every detail that the authors, the development team and each precious collaborator have contributed to this magnificent interpretation of a fascinating period of ancient history.
